Even when ripe these flat, round shaped peaches (hence the name “donut”) are more firm than the more common cling peaches, and they are short enough that they can be cut into wedges that won’t overcrowd the glass. Their white flesh is delicately flavored and complements the white wine and other liquors used.
INGREDIENTS
- 3-4 white “donut” peaches, cut into eight wedges
- 3-4 fresh strawberries halved
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 orange, sliced
- 1 750ml chilled bottle of white wine
- 1 2 oz shot of Triple Sec
- 8 oz chilled tonic water
- 1/2 cup simple syrup (1/4 cup organic cane sugar + 1/4 cup water)
DIRECTIONS
Mixing:
- Place cut fruit into large glass pitcher; reserve some of the orange slices to use as garnish.
- Pour wine, Triple Sec, tonic water, and simple syrup into a pitcher; mix well.
- Place in fridge to cool further or serve immediately!
